Position Purpose
The Health & Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures within the plant, monitoring compliance with legal requirements and company standards, with the goal of preventing accidents and continuously improving the working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and monitor the Health & Safety Management System
Conduct inspections and risk assessments across facilities and production processes
Develop and maintain emergency response plans
Deliver training to employees on safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Investigate incidents and prepare reports including corrective and preventive actions
Provide guidance regarding facility design, new processes, and equipment selection
Introduce methods and technologies that support continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate closely with Production and Maintenance Managers to ensure the effective implementation of safety measures
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within an industrial environment
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and standards
Proven experience in drafting reports, policies, and procedures
Excellent command of the English language
Strong communication, presentation, and training skills
Ability to manage projects, time, and resources effectively
Proficiency in MS Office and general IT applications
