On behalf of Elval, the aluminium rolling division of ElvalHalcor S.A., we are seeking a Health & Safety Engineer.

Position Purpose

The Health & Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of Health & Safety policies and procedures within the plant, monitoring compliance with legal requirements and company standards, with the goal of preventing accidents and continuously improving the working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor the Health & Safety Management System

• Conduct inspections and risk assessments across facilities and production processes

• Develop and maintain emergency response plans

• Deliver training to employees on safety procedures and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Investigate incidents and prepare reports including corrective and preventive actions

• Provide guidance regarding facility design, new processes, and equipment selection

• Introduce methods and technologies that support continuous improvement initiatives

• Collaborate closely with Production and Maintenance Managers to ensure the effective implementation of safety measures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within an industrial environment

• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and standards

• Proven experience in drafting reports, policies, and procedures

• Excellent command of the English language

• Strong communication, presentation, and training skills

• Ability to manage projects, time, and resources effectively

• Proficiency in MS Office and general IT applications
