Position Overview
The Hospitality HR Executive will own HR administration and operational HR activities, partnering closely with Head Office and Site Managers. This hands-on role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, performance support, compliance, and people-focused initiatives aimed at elevating staff engagement and service standards across multiple business units.
We are seeking a dedicated professional with proven experience in the hospitality sector who can operate both strategically and operationally. The role includes travelling to the hotel several times per season, or as necessary, to ensure smooth HR operations and that all people processes are running effectively on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage the full recruitment cycle for permanent, seasonal, and corporate roles across group entities, including job descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, offers, and pre-employment checks
Coordinate induction programs and probation processes
Ensure smooth arrival, onboarding, and integration of staff across multiple locations (including island operations, shipbroking office, and other group entities)
Employee Relations & Wellbeing
Act as the main HR point of contact for employee queries, complaints, and disciplinary matters across the group
Support conflict resolution with professionalism, discretion, and fairness
Promote wellbeing initiatives, absence management, and occupational health referrals where required
HR Administration & Compliance
Maintain accurate personnel records, contracts, work permits, and legal documentation in line with Greek labor law and internal policies
Ensure timely submission of HR data to payroll and external providers
Support payroll coordination, reconciliation, and correction processes for multiple entities
Performance & Development
Support the group performance management cycle including goal setting, evaluations, and development planning
Conduct training needs analysis and assist in implementing learning and development plans
Design and deliver training sessions, onboarding updates, and manager coaching
Design and implement staff development initiatives such as upskilling, career progression, and succession planning at group level
Rewards & Retention
Support benchmarking and review of compensation, benefits, and recognition programs across entities
Implement initiatives that enhance motivation, engagement, and staff retention
Internal Communication & Culture
Drive clear and effective two-way communication between Head Office, General Managers, and operational teams
Support cross-entity engagement activities and staff events
Promote company values, diversity, and inclusive workplace practices across all locations
Operational Support & Travel
Travel across company group locations for site visits, recruitment drives, inductions, and HR projects
Visit the hotel approximately 5 times per season (or as required) to monitor HR operations and ensure smooth workforce management
Provide ad hoc on-site HR support during peak operational periods
Reporting & HR Projects
Produce HR metrics, analytics, and regular reports for Management and Head Office
Lead or contribute to group HR initiatives such as policy harmonization, process improvements, and HR system implementations
Requirements
7+ years of HR experience, preferably within hospitality or fast-paced service environments
Proven hands-on experience in hospitality HR (hotels, resorts, or seasonal operations strongly preferred)
Solid working knowledge of Greek labor law and multi-entity HR compliance requirements
Strong operational HR skills: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration across different business units
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Greek and English
Organized, proactive, and able to work independently; high discretion and confidentiality
Comfortable with regular travel across group locations and occasional peak period onsite presence
Proficiency with HRIS and MS Office; payroll coordination and multi-entity HR system experience preferred
