Recruitment Services | Kariera.Group is looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Category Buyer on behalf of a client — one of the largest home goods and HO.RE.CA. Companies in Greece, with a retail network of over 200 stores in Greece.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts market research, identify & evaluates suppliers along with their offers and promotions to achieve best deals, servicing company's best interest
• Manage supplier communication regarding product selection, orders, stock levels, and pricing
• Analyze market trends and pricing developments to support strategic decisions
• Oversee inventory levels and coordinate product selections for leaflets and in-store promotions
• Collaborate with marketing and store teams on campaigns and communications
• Participate in budgeting and competitor analysis
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Ensure the quality of received goods and services
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field
• 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Retail Company (ideally in non-food categories)
• Knowledge of procurement processes and contract management
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experienced in vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
• Very good use of English, both in verbal and written form
• Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office tools
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to make decisions under pressure
