Sandblu Resort, Santorini, is currently in search of Chief Engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of all resort facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the smooth functioning of all equipment and systems.
• Manage and lead the engineering team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of the resort’s infrastructure to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Manage the engineering department’s budget, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments to support their operational needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

Qualifications / Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Fluency in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
